The RF Events Flirt with Dirt in Maybury State Park was more like a Flirt with Sweat. Saturday was a hot day for a race but luckily the morning started off nice and cool, and the shade of the trails helped as well.
Flirt with Dirt is an early morning 5K and 10K, and it being a cupless race with just a few snacks afterward, there was little waste to even collect. What was collected mainly consisted of water bottles, cardboard, and banana peels, with only 6 ounces sent to the landfill. And yep, that’s baggie territory!
That’s about all there is to report here. Another race, another tiny tidbit of trash!
